ABOUT BROTHERS & FRIENDS
Simply stated, Brothers & Friends is a tribute to The Original Marshall Tucker Band, playing the music of the Marshall Tucker Band as well as bands and musicians who toured with the MTB.
A stylistically unique Southern Rock Band from day one, the members of Brothers & Friends have been singing, performing, and playing in sync as if they’d been together their entire musical careers. Five members have played music with one another since high school.
Well respected for their adherence to the authenticity of the original MTB, the world of Southern Rock now has the Tribute to the original Marshall Tucker Band that's been missing to join the likes of Tributes to The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Throughout the course of the group’s collaboration, they've won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life and across genres. While performing and making countless public appearances, their captivating, high-energy shows are earning them an ever-growing fan base.

TOM "PECK" PECORARO
LEAD GUITAR, BAND MANAGER & FOUNDING MEMBER
Tommy got his hands on his first guitar in 1965 and has been hooked ever since. He began his career in a garage band, “Ashbury Haight” (named after two street signs found in the garage). His love and fervor for guitar, has cultivated him into the talented musician you see today. Prior to forming “Brother and Friends”, Tommy spent 23 years with one of Long Island's best bands, "The Stanton Anderson Band".'m a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.
STEVE PINCUS - LEAD VOCALS
STEVE PINCUS - LEAD VOCALS
Originally from Queens, NY, Steve moved to
Long Island at a young age where he met Tommy and Billy. All three shared a passion for Southern / Classic Rock and began a friendship / musical career which has lasted through to today with “Brother and Friends”. Steve has been a lead vocalist for several bands performing throughout NY.


WILLIAM SMITH - DRUMMER
Billy is from Bethpage, NY and attended Plainedge
High School with Tommy, Michael , Steve & Johnny.
He started playing drums at 15, with Tommy & Steve
in “Ashbury Haight” which later became “The Hank Stevenson Band”.
RICH CURTIN - RHYTHM GUITAR
Richie is a lifelong Marshall Tucker fan. Influenced by the classic rock of the 60’s and 70’s, he began his musical career by emulating influential guitarists of that time. He has a passion for live music and has performed with various bands throughout the metro area.nir Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go-to font for titles, paragraphs & more.

MICHAEL BALLIN - ELECTRIC VIOLIN, VOCALS & PERCUSSION
Michael is a session and studio musician as well as composer and producer. Classically trained throughout his formative years and blessed with “near pitch” and an “ear” for music, Michael enjoys playing the blues, classic and southern rock. In the late 70’s, as a member of “Nothing Yet”, a classic & southern rock band, he opened for “The Good Rats.” He now plays with “BUOY 34.” In 2018, “BUOY 34” opened for the “Southern Rock Revival,” featuring: “Marshall Tucker”, “Charlie Daniels”, and “The Outlaws”.
JOHN MANGIONE “JOHNNY SAX”
- SAXOPHONE & FLUTE
Johnny is a professional musician performing all over Long Island with his jazz quartet. Johnny is also the co-founder of a foundation to give the gift of music back to children, “Ramona’s Gift to Music”.

PAUL BASSI - BASS
Although known for his solid blues shuffles and swinging bass lines with the band, “Blue Roots” out of Long Island, Paul has always gravitated back to his Southern Rock roots citing Tommy Caldwell, founding member of The Original Marshall Tucker Band, as an original influence on his playing. Fortunate to meet Toy & Tommy Caldwell in the late 70’s after their peak concerts at The Nassau Coliseum and having spent some time with Toy Caldwell in the early 90’s, Paul always remained a huge Marshall Tucker fan and is ecstatic to have finally found a home with Brothers & Friends celebrating the music of The Original MTB.

PETE TURSI - TRUMPET
Pete has been playing trumpet for over 55 years. He has played many years with The Stanton Anderson Band as well as playing and writing horn parts for the Skid Row Horns section. He is very excited to join Brothers & Friends!

JEFF PARDES - KEYBOARDS
Jeff only recently joined the Long Island music scene. Prior to moving to Long Island, Jeff was very active in the live music arena in Westchester county. Most recently, a member of the band "Carbon" for the past seven years. Although a classically trained pianist, his love of rock & roll has led him to Brothers and Friends as our keyboardist.

JOHN BOYLE - SAXOPHONE FLUTE, "HARP" & VOCALS
John's professional music career started in 1975 as one of the original founding members of the Hank Stevenson Band along with Steve, Bill, and Tom of Brothers and Friends playing harmonica (harp) and singing lead and backing vocals. He later learned the flute and saxophone becasue of all the Marshall Tucker Band music they were playing. He was also a founding member of "Small Talk" which later became The Jim Small Band where he was a front man, played sax, flute, harp, and sang lead and backup vocals. The Jim Small Band was recognized by the Long Island Music Hall of Fame having played over 5000 shows on LI. Later on in Connecticut he played and recorded albums with "Eight to the Bar" and "Sweeter than Wine". John's musical career spans 50 yrs of playing & recording across the USA in over 7500 shows. He has owned a sound company, worked as a professional sound engineer and is also recognized and sponsored by Seydel Harmonicas. Welcome aboard, JB!
